Arnie was born and raised in the Bronx. While hanging out in New York's comedy clubs doing his own stand up routines, he began writing jokes for Rodney Dangerfield and Joan Rivers . He wanted to get into scripted television comedy but that had all moved from New York to Los Angeles, so Arnie made the move to Los Angeles where his writing career took off. He then branched out into writing screenplays which he had optioned, and film rewrites.
His credits include Facts of Life, Charles in Charge, Claude's Crib, Big Brother Jake, The Parkers, 227, Howie Mandel's animation series, Bobby's World, and the science fiction drama television series Dead Zone, starring Anthony Michael Hall.
Currently he is the author of a children's book, "Vegetable Court, The Case of the Impersonating Tomato" that is sold on Amazon.
